Morgan Arnold 9/20/10 (Outside Readings/Observation Blogs) Spread the Word
One of the greatest experiences that I have had in college has been starting a Greek Ministry on campus. It has been a long journey, but after three years of praying, planning and fundraising, CNU now has Greek InterVarsity. I feel so honored that the Lord made this dream become a reality and have already seen Him work so much within it. Anyways, I am now a House Ministry leader and lead a Bible Study once a week. Recently, my sorority sisters (most of which do not know the Bible very well) asked how people began to hear the Gospel, if they did not have very many forms of writing. I thought… THIS IS PERFECT FOR THIS CLASS! I was able to explain to them how Jesus sent his disciples and followers out to spread the good news. Letters were written to share and encourage. And though many were persecuted, Jesus’ story is the most known, read, and talked about in the world even 2000 years later… and this was all done without internet, technology, or even the printing press. Words are powerful.
