Morgan Arnold 12/1/10 (Class Blog) Missionary Mindset

Today in class, we talked about the missionary who went to Argentina. I really loved how he went in with the mindset to share the Gospel according to their personal needs and culture. As Americans, we always assume that we need to bring OUR culture and beliefs to whoever and whenever. The mindset that we are the best and it is ‘our way or the highway’ is instilled in us at a very young age. This is a dangerous mindset that we have and has the potential to damage many opportunities and relationships. I think that we should all have a similar perspective and intentions as this missionary whenever we enter new experiences. This way, we will personally learn and grow about a new culture and then when we share our personal beliefs, they will be more willing to listen.
